Modalities Practiced: Naturopathic Medicine

Dr. Sandy Musclow is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, having earned her degree from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Her training focused on primary care, cardiopulmonary naturopathic medicine, and adjunctive cancer care. She also completed a concurrent Master’s degree in Classical Chinese Medicine, with an emphasis on physical and internal medicine as well as soul-spiritual supportive treatments. She has a special interest in anthroposophic medicine, which views the human being as an integrated whole of body, soul, and spirit.

Dr. Sandy practices Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and dietetics, and the therapeutic use of stones and essential oils. She works with extraordinary vessels and less commonly used channels and has additional training in treating musculoskeletal pain and injuries using a range of acupuncture techniques through ongoing mentorship.

Before returning to Ontario, she practiced as a primary care provider in an independent clinic in downtown Portland, where she was licensed as both a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist. Her approach to care is multidisciplinary and individualized, integrating laboratory testing and imaging when needed with herbal, homeopathic, pharmaceutical, and acupuncture therapies. She believes a personalized, integrative approach leads to deeper and more lasting healing than one-size-fits-all treatment models.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Musclow is passionate about the outdoors, biodynamic gardening, skiing, disc sports, running, cycling, painting, and knitting. She grew up on a small farm in Palmer Rapids, Ontario, and strives to integrate the rhythms of nature into modern daily life as a source of nourishment and balance.
